On Friday, HotNewHipHop uncovered the first posthumous offering from Nipsey Hussle’s estate, a joint project with Bino Rideaux titled ‘Prolific.’ The album, a collection of appearances from James Fauntleroy, BH, and Cardi B, notably omitted YG, the rapper’s closest collaborator during his lifetime, for this particular recording.
According to reports, the session producing their politically charged hit, ‘F**k Donald Trump,’ was part of a larger project underway for Nipsey’s team. Blacc Sam, a source for HotNewHipHop, revealed that there’s a substantial amount of unreleased music from Nipsey Hussle that’s currently being worked on and slated for release in the future. As All Hip-Hop noted, Blacc Sam also confirmed a potential joint project with YG, which could be scheduled for the upcoming documentary.
Blacc Sam elaborated that the ‘F**k Donald Trump’ session came from those sessions and they just ended up leaking it, ‘I know there probably are some verses, a lot of the team and a lot of [their] guys sent over everything when we did a blitz to see what was out.’
Beyond the YG collaboration, Blacc Sam revealed that the team is strategically planning the release of new music for the upcoming documentary. Specifically, they’re focusing on archival recordings of Nipsey Hussle’s younger years, indicating that the soundtrack to the documentary will feature recordings from his earlier years.
‘For us, the soundtrack to the documentary is where dope records that are close to being complete or haven’t landed on a project and are kind of timestamped to where you could tell Hussle was younger here, Hussle older here,’ he explained. He further stated that the recording was recorded there, and that this record will go on for the documentary as a key part of the project.
