The Mulan Smart Educational Center is poised to deliver a monumental achievement on Friday, August 14, 2026, with the official launch of the Pyramid Emotional and Social Intelligence Framework – a groundbreaking educational program designed to fundamentally transform how children develop emotional resilience, social competence, self-awareness, and interpersonal skills. This landmark initiative marks a pivotal moment in the landscape of inclusive, child-centered education across West Africa, positioning Ghana at the forefront of a new era focused on holistic child development.

According to Mrs Thara Brigitte Mills, CEO of Mulan Smart Educational Center and Autism Advocate, the school has partnered with the Pyramid Model Consortium USA to implement the Pyramid Emotional and Social Intelligence Framework – a globally recognized model emphasizing emotional intelligence. This collaboration represents the first introduction of the framework in West Africa, signaling a significant advancement in the region’s commitment to inclusive and child-driven education.

The Pyramid Model, as implemented by the Consortium, is deeply rooted in the understanding that academic excellence alone is insufficient to adequately prepare children for the complexities of the 21st century. It places equal emphasis on the crucial development of emotional intelligence, empathy, communication, collaboration, self-regulation, responsible decision-making, and healthy relationship-building – skills increasingly recognized as essential for long-term success. The launch reflects Mulan Smart Educational Center’s unwavering dedication to cultivating empowering and resilient young minds, regardless of ability or learning style.

The event, anticipated to bring together educators, parents, child development professionals, policymakers, healthcare practitioners, advocates for inclusive education, and key partners, is expected to feature a significant participation of Dr. Rob Corso, Executive Director of the Pyramid Model Consortium, USA. Dr. Corso is slated to deliver insights into the Pyramid Model’s impact, demonstrating the global significance of advancing emotional and social intelligence within inclusive education. Attendees will gain firsthand knowledge of the framework’s philosophy, implementation strategy, and anticipated positive effects on the future of education, particularly in Ghana and across the West African sub-region.

The CEO of Mulan Smart Educational Center emphatically reiterates the institution’s vision of becoming a center of excellence for neurodiversity and inclusive education, where every child is recognized for their unique strengths and supported to achieve their fullest potential. This launch represents a significant milestone in the school’s journey of pioneering innovative educational practices that respond to the evolving needs of children and families in the 21st century. The official launch event will take place on Friday, August 14, 2026, and is anticipated to stimulate important conversations about the future of emotional intelligence, inclusive education, and holistic child development in Ghana and beyond. Furthermore, this event is expected to strengthen international collaboration between Ghana and the United States in promoting evidence-based practices that support children’s social, emotional, and developmental success.

The private citizen, in a recent lawsuit against AG, Chief Justice over legal vacation, seeks to challenge the legal vacation of Ken Ofori-Atta, arguing that it infringes upon his constitutional rights. The lawsuit, filed on August 27, 2023, is currently underway.
