TRAFFITECH-GH Implementation Rescheduled to November 1

The Ghana Police Service has rescheduled the full implementation of the TRAFFITECH-GH automated traffic law enforcement programme, originally scheduled for October 1, to November 1, 2026. The extension is a consequence of the Police Service’s plan for increased public awareness and education regarding the programme’s operation, including how it detects and issues Electronic Notices of Violation (ENV) to motorists. The initiative, spearheaded by the Motor Traffic and Transport Department (MTTD), aims to improve road safety by addressing indiscipline and ensuring compliance with traffic laws. The Police Service encourages motorists, drivers, and vehicle owners to familiarize themselves with the new system before the November 1 rollout.
