FC Samartex continued their impressive start to the Ghana Premier League season with a narrow 1–0 victory over Young Apostles at the Nsenkyire Sports Arena.
Christian Agyenim Boateng proved to be the difference between the two sides, calmly converting from the penalty spot in the 45th minute to give the Timber Giants the lead just before the break.
Young Apostles pushed for an equaliser after the interval, but Samartex remained resolute to protect their advantage and secure all three points on home soil.
The victory extends Samartex’s unbeaten run after five matchdays and takes their tally to 11 points, leaving them second on the league table.
The Timber Giants will now look to maintain their strong start as they continue their pursuit of the league title.
