Machine Gun Kelly is currently in the news as he was a fixture at Lil Durk’s murder-for-hire trial on Monday. He was one of the most high-profile people at the courthouse, and fans immediately noticed his presence.
Of course, Lil Durk’s trial is currently one of the most talked-about stories in hip-hop right now. It is currently running parallel to Keefe D’s Tupac murder trial. In both instances, the defendant is facing life in prison.
As it turns out, Machine Gun Kelly has no qualms about supporting Durk. With news of his arrival lighting up social media, the rapper turned pop punk star decided to speak out on X. It was here that he revealed how he and Durk have been friends for years. In fact, it was Durk who personally invited him to attend the trial.

“This been my bro for a decade,” MGK wrote. “When he called and asked if id pull up and supportim there no question. free durk.”
The first two days of the trial have brought about some interesting storylines. As you can imagine, there is a group of commentators who are rushing to call Lil Durk a "snitch." Meanwhile, OTF Jam and OTF Vonni have been revealed as witnesses for the prosecution.
In court, Durk was accused of attempting to flee the country while in Miami. Durk responded by saying he was working with DJ Khaled. Furthermore, it was alleged that Durk paid for hitmen’s flights with his own Amex card.
Durk’s legal team is using Vonni’s guilty plea testimony to assert that it was he who was the mastermind, and not Durk. This is the crux of the defense’s argument.
The trial is expected to continue for another two to four weeks.
