He stated that he had recently engaged with Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Christian Tetteh Yohuno to seek a detailed update on the case. Mr. Muntaka emphasized that the CID is diligently working on the report, anticipating its public release once completion and submission are finalized.
Mr. Muntaka expressed his confidence in the CID’s progress, stating, ‘They promised that they are coming up with a report, so I’m sure once they bring the report, we’ll let it be public because I wrote officially demanding that they investigate and report.’ He further added that he intends to pursue this matter with the police to ensure the investigation concludes and the report is submitted.
The Ministry of Interior’s initial order to investigate the allegations stemmed from allegations that Special Prosecutor Kissi Agyebeng had survived two failed assassination attempts while carrying out his official duties. These claims, first made publicly by the OSP Director of Strategy, Research and Communications, Samuel Appiah Darko, on December 6th, detailed a targeted campaign of threats against the Special Prosecutor.
