Fergie Baby honored his hometown roots through a church gathering where loved ones, creatives, and supporters welcomed his latest musical chapter.
Fergie Baby brought music and Harlem together inside a local church for an intimate listening experience built around his ‘God is from Harlem’ project.
Instead of rolling out the music inside a nightclub or another traditional industry setting, the Harlem artist invited family, longtime supporters, fellow New York artists and members of the media into a church for an invite-only gathering that placed community at the center of the celebration.
The setting immediately separated the event from a typical listening party. Red and black decorations filled the space alongside red roses, giving the church a carefully arranged atmosphere as guests gathered to hear the music. Event coordinator Bri B. helped execute the vision for the evening.

The guest list also reflected Fergie Baby’s ties to New York’s emerging creative community. Jadakiss’ son Jay One attended alongside East New York’s King B Mo, Mia The Dawn, producer Cajun Waters, Chow Lee, Esso, members of the Rap Roundtable, and Iman Nuñez.
Fergie Baby also used the occasion to recognize people who supported his journey before the latest rollout. He acknowledged Jazz of Infamous Jazz PR for her years of consistent belief in his career, adding a personal note to an evening that leaned heavily toward relationships rather than industry spectacle.
The event featured several additional touches for attendees. A representative from G-Shock was on hand as guests tried on watches and entered a raffle for an opportunity to win pieces. Beloved supplied drinks while 7th Ave Smash Burger handed out complimentary burgers, which emerged as one of the evening’s unexpected attractions.
Still, the music remained the centerpiece.
Among the selections played was “Lennox Poppin’,” a record featuring a Chris Brown sample that is nearly cleared. Empire Records approved the song, adding another layer of anticipation when the track came through the speakers.
The church setting gave “God is from Harlem” a different frame than the usual New York music rollout. Rather than emphasizing bottle service, velvet ropes or a packed club, Fergie Baby surrounded the project with people connected to his neighborhood, career and creative circle.
That approach made the gathering feel closer to a family celebration than a conventional industry showcase. Established connections mixed with rising artists while food, music, and conversation filled the room.
For Fergie Baby, Harlem was more than the location printed on an invitation. The neighborhood became part of the presentation itself. By bringing “God is from Harlem” into a church and surrounding the music with people who helped shape his path, he turned a listening session into a hometown statement about community, loyalty, and where his story began.
