The National Service Authority (NSA) has today, Wednesday August 12, 2026, released 121,754 unique PIN codes for prospective National Service Personnel (General Enrolment) from accredited tertiary institutions across the country for the 2026/2027 service year.
The release of the PIN codes marks the commencement of the registration process for eligible graduates who are required to undertake national service in accordance with the National Service Authority Act, 2024 (Act 1119).
The NSA said the beneficiaries successfully passed the required validation and verification processes. According to the Authority, tertiary institutions submitted 144,023 personnel for consideration, out of which 122,712 were approved. However, PIN codes were generated for 121,754 unique persons, while 958 approved submissions were not promoted pending further verification.
A further 21,311 submissions were rejected and withheld for additional identity verification. The NSA stated the validation exercise was conducted in collaboration with relevant regulatory institutions to ensure that only eligible graduates from accredited institutions are mobilised. It added that the process was also intended to prevent duplicate, inflated, and irregular submissions while improving the credibility of the national service enrolment system.
The online registration began on August 12 and will close on August 26, 2026. Prospective personnel have been directed to access the NSA’s online portal to activate their PIN codes and complete the registration process. They will be required to pay a registration fee via Mobile Money across all networks to activate their PIN codes.
Applicants will be required to undergo facial biometric verification against their Ghana Card records with the National Identification Authority before gaining access to the enrolment platform. Additionally, applicants are required to provide a valid GhanaPost GPS address to facilitate accurate deployment and proximity-based postings. The NSA has integrated enhanced registration features, including facial biometric verification, to strengthen the integrity, security and efficiency of the registration process. It continues to implement the following measures:
* Facial Biometric Verification: All applicants are required to complete facial biometric verification against their Ghana Card records with the National Identification Authority before accessing the online registration platform.
* Verified GhanaPost GPS Address: Applicants are required to provide a valid GhanaPost GPS address to facilitate accurate deployment and proximity-based postings.
* Real-Time Verification: Enhanced verification mechanisms have been integrated into the registration platform to improve data accuracy and prevent fraudulent enrolments.

In line with Government’s policy to integrate Basic Military Training into the National Service Programme, a selected number of prospective National Service Personnel will participate in the next phase of the pre-deployment military orientation programme.Interested applicants may indicate their willingness to participate during the online registration process. Successful applicants will be deployed to designated agricultural project sites for the duration of their mandatory national service.
The NSA further reminds the general public that, in accordance with Section 29(1) of the National Service Authority Act, 2024 (Act 1119), ‘’a person is qualified to undertake national service if that person is a Ghanaian citizen and has completed a course of study at a tertiary education institution’’.
