Diddy sees his path home stretch into March as a dispute with his counsel and a costly NBC defeat add to his prison woes.

Diddy‘s release date has changed for the ninth time and this latest setback adds 41 days after NBC detailed his alleged prison perks. His release from Fort Dix is now set for March 2, 2028, instead of the Jan. 21 date listed last week.
The prison bureau has not said why his date changed, so the reason for the added time remains unclear.
Four men who shared his unit described paid massages and meals cooked by inmates during interviews with NBC. NBC’s footage seemed to show him using a banned phone, and sources said he used one to view nude photos.
The men said people outside prison put cash into the accounts of inmates who cooked, cleaned and handled other chores.

“Money is power, especially behind bars,” one source told NBC of the role cash played in Diddy’s life at Fort Dix.
His spokesman says he has obeyed prison rules while waiting for an appeals court to rule on his case.
Diddy is serving 50 months on two Mann Act convictions for arranging travel across state borders for prostitution. The jury cleared him on racketeering, along with sex trafficking charges, while his lawyers still seek to overturn the two convictions.
The latest delay adds to a rough stretch for Diddy, whose own lawyers want to quit amid a fight over their bills. Sher Tremonte has asked to leave his Lil Rod case and his suit against Nexstar, citing unpaid fees and months without direct contact.
“Mr. Combs has not paid Sher Tremonte anything for over six months,” firm partner Michael Tremonte wrote in court papers.
The firm also wants to hold his case files until he pays, while Diddy says its lawyers billed for work he never approved.
Diddy is still in solitary confinement after staff moved him from his unit once NBC published its prison report.
Meanwhile, a judge ordered him Tuesday to pay legal fees of $477,700.50 after throwing out his $100 million lawsuit against NBCUniversal. He sued over Peacock’s Diddy: The Making of a Bad Boy, claiming the film falsely tied him to murder and sex crimes.
The judge cut NBC’s $990,292 fee request for excessive billing, but Diddy still owes close to half a million dollars. That leaves Diddy paying the company whose news team exposed his claimed perks before staff sent him back to the hole.
NBC’s lawyers have 10 days from entry of the order to file a proposed judgment that sets out his debt.
