Hip-Hop albums have been a mixed bag this year. There have been some fantastic mainstream entrees, as well as some others that left a lot to be desired. Meanwhile, the underground is having a strong year, but a breakout superstar feels unlikely right now.
That said, now that we are in the final quarter of the year, there is anticipation over what's next. According to the NFR Podcast over on X, there are a ton of projects coming soon. For instance, Don Toliver's Nitrous is supposedly on the way. Lil Uzi Vert, Ken Carson & Destroy Lonely, Young Thug, and even Lil Baby are supposed to drop.
Confirmed albums include Gunna's Splurge, Anderson .Paak and Cordae's Heavy Is The Crown, Offset's GMFU, and the GTA VI soundtrack, which will have heavy hip-hop influence. There are a plethora of other albums coming, which can be found below.
