The MTN Ghana Foundation has stepped up support for victims of the September 28 floods in Hohoe with a donation of 1,400 relief boxes to the Presidency.
The donation is aimed at complementing government’s response to the flooding, which affected residents in Zongo and other parts of Hohoe, leaving several families with damaged homes and property.
According to the Senior Manager of the MTN Ghana Foundation, Robert Kuzo, the relief boxes contain rice, other food items and detergents to help affected households cope with their immediate needs.
He said the donation reflects the Foundation’s commitment to supporting national priorities and working with government and other stakeholders during emergencies.
Mr Kuzo noted that although the intervention is focused on immediate relief, it forms part of broader efforts to support affected communities as they work towards recovery.
He said the Foundation will continue to contribute to initiatives that provide timely support to vulnerable communities across the country.
