A huge fire was sighted at the Tsavo East National Park on Saturday, October 3.
Footage obtained by Kenyans.co.ke showed massive tracts of land engulfed in flames while spreading towards the Taveta-Voi highway.
Open source triangulation data from Kenyans.co.ke shows the fire started during the start of the week.
The footage also shows no signs of response to putting out the fire from any response agency, with the cause yet to be established.
At the time of the reporting of this incident, there has been no response from any relevant authority.
This incident comes weeks after a similar incident was witnessed on September 7 after a wildfire broke out in Tsavo East National Park at around 1 p.m.
Initial reports indicated that the fire had been caused by a burst fuel tank. However, the organisation later clarified that ground teams had established that the incident was a bush fire.
The fire advanced toward the Taveta-Voi highway, raising concerns over potential disruptions as authorities worked to contain the spreading flames.
Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) personnel, Taita Taveta county teams, and Kenya Red Cross responders deployed resources to combat the blaze.
Mount Kenya ecosystem was also not left out in the month of September, as the Mount Kenya forest fire broke out on September 1, ravaging for over a week and destroying approximately 30,000 acres as per the Kenya Forest Service (KFS).
The blaze erupted near Rutundu Lodge before spreading rapidly across 17 different spots, affecting key forest stations including Ruthumbi, Mucheene, Marania, and Meru.
Severe drought, prolonged lack of rainfall, highly flammable moorland shrubs and fierce winds fuelled the fire, accelerating its destructive spread according to KFS.
