The case, initially scheduled for the prosecution’s examination-in-chief of the first prosecution witness, is now awaiting judgment. Lead counsel for the first accused, Godfred Yeboah Dame, argued for the release of properties belonging to Aludiba, including seized mobile phones, as essential for his defense. He indicated these phones contain information pertinent to the proceedings. The court, presided over by Justice Francis Achibonga, maintains the case will be recorded as a court of record, allowing defense counsel to review evidence and potential objections. The prosecution, led by Principal State Attorney Esi Dentaa Yankah, opposes the immediate release, arguing the October 7th proceedings were reserved for the prosecution’s examination-in-chief of the first witness. They contend the day’s proceedings are slated to begin with that witness’s testimony, and that the court is to record the proceedings as such.
