Hohoe MCE Appeals for More Relief Supplies as Flooding Displaces Residents

The Hohoe Municipal Chief Executive appealed for more relief supplies for residents affected by flooding in Volta Region. The MCE received relief items from A1 Restaurant representing the municipal assembly, and thanked the restaurant for its support. The MCE reported that floodwaters are rising and that more than 700 residents are sheltering in classrooms. Floodwater is also reported to be flowing from parts of neighbouring Togo. The Member of Parliament for Hohoe, Thomas Worlanyo Tsekpor, earlier stated that the flooding has displaced more than 700 residents and urged residents to seek shelter in classrooms.
