The Ghana Education Service (GES) has been given a week to submit outstanding input forms and other documentation required to process salaries for newly promoted teachers. Head of Public Relations, Daniel Fenyi, stated the deadline was communicated following a meeting between representatives of the Teacher Unions and the Education Minister. He assured government’s commitment to resolving concerns surrounding the promotion process. The Controller and Accountant-General’s Department emphasized the importance of these input forms and documentation, including the promotion letters, to complete processing of new salaries. The deadline is scheduled for Monday, October 5, with a week remaining. The approximately 80,000 affected staff, including both teaching and non-teaching personnel, include approximately 59,000 to 60,000 teaching staff.
