The 2026 MTV Video Music Awards kicked off with Madonna’s energetic performance, featuring new imagery from her album “Confessions II.” She debuted “It’s Mother” and performed with “Bring Your Love” and “Danceteria” alongside Charli XCX.
Kacey Musgraves paid tribute to Dolly Parton on Sunday, singing “I Will Always Love You.” The tribute included archival footage of the late country star, recognizing her groundbreaking contributions to music.
Lisa performed “SaWaDiKa,” including a performance in Thailand’s tuk-tuk taxi, and received the Video Vanguard award for her genre-defining music.
The VMAs also recognized Taylor Swift’s Artist Director Honors, awarding her the first-ever accolade and setting a new record for most Moon Persons won, surpassing Beyoncé.
