The Air Jordan 5 "Halloween" is set to release on October 17th for $215. That's two weeks before the holiday, so you'll actually get to wear them out.
At first glance, it's just a black Air Jordan 5. Soft suede covers the upper, with black mesh on the sides. The Halloween part shows up once the lights turn off and reveal a special detail.
Glowing green hits the Jumpman on each tongue, the "23" near the heel, and the Nike Air logo on the back. The translucent outsole glows too and that's what really sells the theme. Glow-in-the-dark is always a hit, because it just adds that extra flair to a sneaker.
The midsole stabilizer adds some orange with black speckles. It breaks up all the black without turning the shoe into a costume.
This is a general release, and it comes in full family sizing. You should be able to find pairs on SNKRS and at select retailers like Foot Locker, Finish Line, and Hibbett. The style code is also HQ7978-001 for anyone wondering.
This pair was originally planned to drop on October 24th, but Jordan Brand moved it up a week. That puts it right in the middle of Halloween weekend plans.

The Air Jordan 5 has quietly had a great 2026. The "Undefeated" pair and the "Wolf Grey" colorway both drew plenty of hype, and this one keeps things going.
The model also fits the mood naturally. Tinker Hatfield drew the shark teeth on the midsole after World War II fighter planes. A glowing sole just adds to that aggressive look.
Holiday-themed sneakers can feel a little forced. This one gets around that by staying mostly black. You can wear it all year and save the glow for when you want it. The Air Jordan 14 "Forest Green" also arrives on October 31st, so October is stacked for Jordan fans.
