The murder trial of rapper Kiernan ‘AKA’ Forbes and celebrity chef Tebello ‘Tibz’ Motsoane is set to finally begin on Monday at the Durban High Court.
It's been about three years since the pair was gunned down outside a popular restaurant on Florida Road in Durban.
Seven men are expected to stand trial for both murders.

The murder trial has hit a couple of snags, primarily due to the extradition of two suspects from Eswatini.
Brothers Siyabonga and Malusi Ndimande allegedly fled to Eswatini after taking part in the February 2023 murder.
They were flown back to South Africa in October last year and charged with the murders of rapper Kiernan ‘AKA’ Forbes and celebrity chef Tebello ‘Tibz’ Motsoane.
Police investigations suggest rapper AKA was the primary target of the hit, with his friend being collateral.
The trial is set to run from Monday to 6 November, with a break on 4 November for the elections.
