Eight participants suffered medical emergencies during the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) National Conference and Election held at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
The National Ambulance Service (NAS) provided emergency medical cover for the event, deploying five ambulances and over 30 EMTs to the stadium.
Emergency teams remained on duty until the conference and election concluded, returning to their stations after the programme ended.
NAS stated the deployment was part of its support for major public events, ensuring prompt medical assistance to delegates and participants.
The deployment was intended to ensure rapid medical response whenever participants required assistance.
