The Municipality of Maputo is promoting the potential of KaNyaka with the aim of attracting investments for the development of tourism and other economic activities on the Island of Inhaca. The investment was presented by the Mayor of the Maputo Municipal Council, Rasaque Manhique, during the opening of the KaNyaka Investment Forum, which included the administrator of the KaNyaka Municipal District and Adelino Balate, director of the Investment and Export Promotion Division of the APIEX. In her intervention, Rasaque Manhique highlighted the natural, cultural, and tourist potential of KaNyaka, pointing to the beaches, marine biodiversity, and terrestrial areas, the mangroves, coral reefs, and natural landscapes as resources capable of attracting new investments. Manhique referred to the island having conditions for the development of ecoturism, beach tourism, scientific and research tourism, cultural tourism and community tourism, nautical activities, restoration and hotel services.
