Galatasaray are preparing to renew their interest in Sunderland midfielder Noah Sadiki as the Turkish club begin planning for the January transfer window.
The Istanbul side are looking to strengthen their midfield and have identified the 21-year-old DR Congo international as a potential target, according to Fotomaç.
Galatasaray had previously been unsuccessful in their pursuit of Sadiki but are now considering another attempt to bring him to Turkey.
Sadiki currently plays for Sunderland in the Premier League after joining the English club from Union Saint-Gilloise in the summer of 2025.
Galatasaray's interest is understood to be linked to the midfielder's ability to perform in more than one role.
Sadiki can operate as a defensive midfielder or play in a box-to-box position, giving him the tactical flexibility the Turkish club are seeking.
His qualities are said to include his ability to win possession, maintain a high work rate and contribute to his team's build-up play.
Those characteristics are viewed as fitting the requirements of Galatasaray manager Okan Buruk as the club considers ways to add greater depth to its midfield.
The Turkish club are reportedly preparing to step up their efforts in January. Galatasaray officials are expected to travel to England during the winter transfer window in an attempt to make progress on a possible deal for Sadiki.
His age is another factor in the club's interest. At 21, Sadiki is below the age of 23, meaning he would meet Galatasaray's recruitment criteria for younger players.
However, any move is likely to involve significant negotiations with Sunderland.
The Premier League club signed Sadiki from Union Saint-Gilloise in 2025 for a fee reported to be around €17m.
Having invested heavily in the midfielder, Sunderland are now understood to want more than that amount if they are to consider selling him.
Sunderland are also in a strong contractual position because Sadiki's current agreement with the club runs until 2030.
That long-term commitment gives the Premier League side considerable leverage should Galatasaray make a formal approach.
