Four members of a family have reportedly been burnt to death in a devastating fire outbreak at Apemanim Number Two in the Ahanta West Municipality of the Western Region.
The incident is said to have occurred when fire engulfed the family’s residence around 2am this dawn, trapping the victims inside.
Efforts to rescue them proved unsuccessful, as the fire quickly spread through the building.
The victims, Kwesi, 23 years old, and his wife, Maa Abena, including their two children, one age four (4) years and a 3-week-old baby, are reported to have died in the inferno.
The cause of the fire is currently unknown.
Meanwhile, the remains of the deceased have been conveyed to a mortuary, as investigations continue to establish the circumstances that led to the fire.
An eyewitness at the scene said they tried to quench the fire, but their efforts were in vain since the victims were found burnt.
