The Importers and Exporters Association of Ghana (IEAG) has been calling on the Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) to urgently resolve reported delays in the issuance of import codes and permits for regulated consignments at ports, significantly impacting cargo movement. The IEAG stated the delays, stemming from reported issues with the FDA’s Centre for Import and Export Control (CIEC) at the Tema Port, have left many consignments uncleared.
