Former Black Stars midfielder Emmanuel Agemang Badu cautioned the Black Stars against a tough match against The Gambia in their Group C fixture in the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.
The Black Stars team lacks sufficient experienced players particularly in key positions like the midfield, which currently consists of Kwasi Sibo and Caleb Yirenkyi. Badu emphasized that the team needs to display strong character and mentality to overcome the challenge.
Despite acknowledging the difficult test ahead, he remains hopeful for a positive outcome, believing that the Black Stars can win with sufficient mental fortitude and determination.
The Black Stars are currently sitting at the bottom of their group and are aiming to earn their first points against The Gambia to recapture their momentum following their disappointing performance in Morocco last season. Kick-off is set for 16:00 GMT today.
